We don&#8217;t normally take the front page space to highlight fundraisers, but we here at Study Group feel like this is a special exception and want to spread the word.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what Tyler Landry has to say about the course:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nA couple of summers ago, after peeping much of his work, and picking up on some of his comics philosophizing, I took Frank Santoro&#8217;s course &#8211; and it was a pretty eye-opening experience. My work, and my approach to it, were transformed practically overnight because of insights he was able to provide me that just &#8220;clicked&#8221; with me in the right way. Then, working over the course material, assembling my comic, it all manifested itself organically within the work as I was doing it. The benefits of applying knowledge in that way can&#8217;t be stressed enough &#8211; and that&#8217;s what Frank does, and what he aims to do more of with his residency program. The chance to work directly with Frank, in his home\/studio would multiply those benefits exponentially. You&#8217;re not just doing a one-off project here &#8211; you&#8217;re deepening your knowledge of the process of storytelling in the beloved graphic medium of comics.
